Welcome to Supplemental Instruction!
Our SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION program is Nationally Certified by the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Supplemental instruction (SI) sessions are peer-led review sessions for selected courses. Facilitated by a trained SI Leader, students meet with classmates to compare notes, discuss important concepts, and develop strategies for studying. SI Leaders have received at least a high B in the course, attend assigned class, and will tailor sessions directly to material covered in class.
SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION is offered in various courses this semester:
Biology Courses
Biodiversity, Microbiology, Genetics and Anatomy & Physiology I
Chemistry Courses
Biochemistry
Computer Science Courses
Introduction to computer science
Math courses
Calculus, Calculus II, Basic Statistics
Psychology courses
Psychological Statistics and Research Methods
SI does not replace going to class, doing your homework, or studying for exams. However, SI does help you get better grades, master course content, develop learning and study strategies.
